Hiking To The Real Northernmost Point In Europe

Your destination is Knivskjelodden (71°11'08”) – the real northernmost point of Europe. The track starts from the parking spot at E69, ca. 7 km before the North Cape plateau.

After 9 km long and 2 – 3 hours long walk, following the track marked with red T’s, you will reach Knivskjelodden. On the way you will see mountain lakes, fjords and mountain passes that provide unbelievably dramatic views as far as you can see (weather permitting). On this latitude the weather can change very fast.

After the excursion you can get a certificate for hiking to continental Europe’s northernmost point.
